* NSW - 7,200 REGISTERED: 268% INCREASE FROM PREVIOUS 12 MONTH AVERAGE: In 2022 only 385!
* Reasons: Incentives by NSW government: significant increases in energy prices - especially gas!
* ACT GOVERNMENT HAS PASSED AUSTRALIA'S FIRST LAW PROHIBITING THE USE OF FOSSIL GAS IN HOMES BUSINESSES!
*The Law 'Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Natural Gas Transition) Amendment Bill' passed on Thursday 8th June,2023 establishes the legal framework to end NEW gas connections before 2045 in the ACT.
* REGULATION IS EXPECTED TO BE IN PLACE BY THE END OF 2023 PROHIBITING NEW GAS CONNECTIONS IN RESIDENCES AND COMMERCIAL AREAS IN ANY NEW SUBURB OR INFILL DEVELOPMENTS.
