In 2024, two Ku-ring-gai communities—a 20-unit apartment block and a kindergarten—won ‘Cool Seat’ compost systems thanks to Ku-ring-gai Council’s ‘Net Zero’ Team, Electrifying Bradfield and sustainable designer Michael Mobbs. Now you have a chance to win one of four Cool Seats for your community.

State briefly, why your community deserves to be awarded a ‘Cool Seat’ and the benefits you think your Community will gain if you are selected:

Our Community has a suitable and approved site for the location of the 'Cool Seat'. Location must be within the grounds of a private home or apartment block.

Members of the Communities selected must agree to operate and maintain the 'Cool Seat' in a responsible and safe manner according to the advice provided at the initial meeting with residents at the beginning of the Trial.

We agree to perform required information collection.

We agree to collect information as requested regarding our use of the 'Cool Seat' and provide this to ‘Electrifying Bradfield Inc,’, Ku-ring-gai council and cool seat partners. We are willing to discuss the experience of using the 'Cool Seat' and any issues that have arisen during the Trial.
