* Through July 2025, 19,592 solar batteries were installed in the 3 million Australian rooftops fitted with solar energy systems!
* This increases the total stored electricity battery capacity (not including that in the increasing number of EVs) by 344 MWhs (344,000 KWhs).
* From July 1st, 2025 households and businesses with rooftop solar systems installed or being installed can get around 30% (depending on size of battery installed) off the total cost of a battery.
* The increase in solar batteries and stored rooftop-generated electricity across Australia reduces the demand for and thus need for the supply of electricity from an increasing failing and shrinking grid.
* 'This means lower electricity bills for everyone!' (Clean Energy Regulator, Australian Government, August 1, 2025).
* If you have rooftop solar - or are installing a system- then think seriously about installing battery storage as well (ave.size installed 18-19 kWh)!
*Installing a household storage battery makes very good economic sense (particularly when electricity providers are charging you to export what you generate!- and then pay more to buy it back!) AND there has never been a better time to invest in one - battery prices reducing AND significant available government (federal, state and Council - in some places) subsidies currently available!
(go to Clean Energy Regulator's (CER) Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme)
*But! If looking to take advantage of the battery subsidy DON'T WAIT TOO LONG! It won't last forever!
